READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE
With Isabelle's return, NDM has burst out with a new bang. Schedules have been rearranged, surface surpremes have been applied, horses have been retired, horses are pitted again brand new competition, and NDM is throwing their all out middle season.
Desert Amber - We would like to announce the retirement of Desert Amber. With thirteen wins under her belt she is leaving the turf tracks. This lady had a fantastic three year old season, and wrapping up in her fifth year we're happy to set her to brood, she is booked for the next few season, Y17 she will be bred to our own Lookin' Back Lucky, and Y18 she will bred with Cajun Moon for us. After that others with reserves are free to book her.
Ivory Storms - Our original mascot create, Ivory Storms has also left racing. With fourteen victories he was solid undercard runner for NDM who came in the money most of his trips out. He is also due for a foal for us Y17 with Maliah, and Y18 he will sire a foal from Dashing In the Firelight. We are unsure what his stud feed will be or if he will be available, only time will tell.
Final Conquest - This big galoot just snagged a win that bumped him to grade two! He is definitely a trier, and I feel sometimes overlooked due his lack of HOTY wins. We are undercarding him now, and hope notice of him rises. He is four now, with two solid years of racing behind him. A dual racer, he has proven he can win on both tracks equally well. So far this year he's raced on turf, and we'll be slipping him over to the dirt.
Impress the Moonlight - Our tough hearted little lady is breaking into the upper class HOTY races with the roughest competition out there. She is four now, and we're going to keep her going strong the rest of this season with HOTY class only entries. Only two wins so far this year, but she's not out of steam. She's got her game still, don't discount her as a has-been.
Simba - Our interesting gamble this year (Miss Frosty!), Simba is doing amazing well! As a four year old just starting his career he has 100% consistency so far and we're so excited for him! He's got such a wild heart, he loves running beyond all else. We're looking to put him a few more HOTY this year, and see if a little stronger competition will be good for him. We know he doesn't have a 2 and 3 year old season behind him, but he's strong and has an iron grit will.
Crooked Intentions - Our Tia, so unpredictable. We're hoping she smoothes out and can find her stride. Only one win this year, but she is one win away from grade three. We think she might be too bratty for her own good, we're hoping with some maturity we'll see stronger results from her soon.
Sugar Demon - Ah, our Speed Demon baby. Now three, she is one win away from grade two. As a lark we stuck her in the Girl's Festival, and lo and behold she got second place! So we've decided to go for it, and she'll be in the TSTT this year. Having done mostly turf this year, after the TSTT we're going to try her on dirt more, and also perhaps restrict her to 5-7 furlongs, rather than the 8. She has won at 8 furlongs, but as a mean front runner she seems to excel at the shorter sprints. *cheers for Sugar*
Tiger Heart - This boy just snuck up on us into grade two! Isabelle had to do a double take on this colt. We've gotten comments that he is more than ready for HOTY class, so he's headed into the CTC just around the corner. We put a dual on him, so this dirt runner will now be running on the turf! He's got turf in his pedigree, his sire was dual and for example Bella Luna is a relation, so after the CTC get ready to see this boy try his hand on the turf surfaces. *cheers for Tiger*
Eternally Smoldering - Whoo our Flame here got two HOTY wins this past month! Yay He had a little shakier start off earlier this spring but he seems to have found his stride, so he'll be hitting the 2YO HOTY the rest of this season.
Italian Beauty - Just starting up with us, this two year had a third place under her belt, and now she has another one. We'll be working her gently into the maidens and then into some lighter two year old races. Come her three year old season we'll hit the dirt tracks hard!
Justa Little Cutie - Only one win so far this year, we're looking to give her some smaller undercards and try and build up her confidence. She's done a lot of HOTY this year, but it isn't quite sitting with her the best. We'll give her a bit more time to come into her own.
Nutcracker Suite - A little less track time so far with one win, we are going the same route as Cutie, some lower class 2 year old races, filly only preferably, to give her some time to get herself a little more matured. She has not yet done an HOTY race, but we might give her a few later on to see how she does.
Phoenix Inferno - This boy has also been struggling, getting third six times this year. We're hoping to break that cycle, and have given him a surface supreme! The formally dirt only colt will now try his hand at turf, and we hope to see a second win sometime soon.
Barely A Sound and Don't Count Me Out are continuing to remain with Nature Blues for the rest of this season. The will finish their careers with us starting Y17.
